Rusty Rookes & His Rocka-Phonics flawlessly capture that unique, special long-gone Rockabilly sound.

On vocals is Rusty Rookes, who was the lead vocalist with The Dancehall Racketeers and The Machismo’s. He enjoyed good success in the late 80’s with Fury Records.

Guitar, Lap Steel - as well as everything else - is mastered by Ian Speller, who is possibly one of the best guitarists and producers of Rockabilly and Western Swing today. Ian fittingly received top acclaim from the British Country awards for The Best British Country Album Of The Year in 2000 for "Tribute To Hank Williams", which featured his band - Rusti Steel & The Tin Tax.

On guitar and keyboards is Smudge Smith, a regular session man for all the biggest names in blues - including Big Bill Morganfield, the son of the late, great Muddy Waters. Smudge regularly receives critical acclaim from the prestigious Mojo magazine. Smudge’s ivory and guitar playing are superb, and are always a joy to behold.

Finally, on drums is Toby. He was one of the founder members of Primal Scream. Since leaving The Scream he consistently shows why he was the driving force one of the biggest worldwide known bands still going strong today. Together with that refined energy, Rusty Rookes & His Rocka-Phonics are the real deal. So grab a few cold beers, put your feet up, and listen to how these Kats drive it home!!
